In this conference talk Anna and Jolanta overviewed the features of Lithuanian academic discourse as revealed in empirical studies done so far on a number of academic genres such as research articles, book reviews, BA, MA and PhD theses. Numerous studies in the field of Lithuanian academic discourse reveal a growing concern for identifying its essential aspects and applying this knowledge to producing successful scientific texts. The support for disseminating research in Lithuanian is supported by language policies and national projects.
