In May 2021, we presented an update on our ongoing research. The first time we presented our project was at the February Writing Analytics conference. The online symposium provided an opportunity to introduce our first major data-driven approach to evaluating Estonian academic texts at a macro-level using Using Object Detection Methods. The main purpose of the presentation was to test the approach we’re taking and look for constructive feedback on whether or how we can approve our object detection method. The discussion was led by Margaux Susman (University of Bergen, Norway), Djuddah Leijen (University of Tartu, Estonia), Nicholas Groom (University of Birmingham, United Kingdom), & Christer Johansson (University of Bergen, Norway)
