Helena participates in the Bwrite project as a junior research fellow. Her PhD project is on the topic of Metadiscourse of Estonian texts at the department of Estonian and General Linguistics, University of Tartu. She has an MA degree in linguistics and language editing from Tallinn University. Her MA thesis concentrated on the linguistic means of presenting the author in Estonian academic texts. In addition to the Bwrite project, Helena is active in the Centre for Academic Estonian at Tallinn University. Her non-research activities include freelance language editing and Finnish translation services.
