Our Team at Writing Research Across Borders (WRAB)

At the Writing Research Across Borders (WRAB) conference, our represented team of researchers had the opportunity to present the results of the Metadiscourse study which we conducted on journal articles in Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian. We were also able to take part in a variety of sessions that allowed us to gain insight and network with other professionals in the field. Now that the conference has come to an end, we’d like to share our experience with you and highlight some of the key accomplishments of our participation.

Presenting Our Research

During the conference, our team gave a presentation on the Metadiscourse study. This study was conducted by our team, with the goal of examining the use of metadiscourses in academic journal articles in Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian. Over the course of the presentation, we presented our findings as well as discussed problems that we encountered during our research process.

Attending Sessions

The conference was an excellent opportunity for us to attend sessions given by scholars from all over the world. During these sessions, we were able to gain valuable expertise that we could use in our own research. We also had the chance to meet other researchers and exchange ideas, and build important contacts for future projects.

Conclusion

Overall, our team is incredibly pleased with our experience at the WRAB conference. Not only were we able to present our research and add to the discourse of the field, but we were also able to attend a multitude of sessions and build key connections that will be invaluable for our research going forward. We are excited to use the knowledge we gained from this experience in our future work!
